Hoppin Habitats is a small Brisbane-based team. We build our own campervans from the ground up and hire them out of our Tingalpa workshop — no franchise badges, no depot queue, no call centre. From your first enquiry to handing the keys back, you're dealing directly with the people who built the van.
Every van in our fleet is hand-built — timber benchtops, proper insulation, real bedding, thoughtful layouts. They're set up the way we'd want them on our own trips.
Full comprehensive insurance and RACQ roadside assist come with every hire — no upsell, and no surprises if something goes sideways on a back road.
Pickup is in Tingalpa, just off the Gateway. Land, grab a taxi or rideshare, collect the van, and you can be on the highway north or south within the hour.
200km per day is included as standard, with a three-day minimum hire. Longer trips earn a better daily rate — and most people take a week or more.

Where people go
Brisbane makes a really easy launch point for a campervan trip — open highways, warm water, and you can be parked beside the beach inside an hour. Head north for the classic Queensland run, south for the NSW coast, or keep rolling all the way down to Melbourne.
Noosa is an easy first stop. From there it's Rainbow Beach, Fraser Island / K'gari, Agnes Water, the Whitsundays, Magnetic Island and on up to Cairns. The Bruce Highway's a long road, but the payoff is genuinely worth it.
Byron Bay is about two hours from pickup. After that, you've got Yamba, Coffs Harbour, Port Macquarie, the Hunter and Sydney. Keep going and you're into the south coast and on through to Victoria.
Happy to set up a one-way hire — pick up in Brisbane and drop off in Sydney or Melbourne. Pricing depends on the season, so just tell us where you're heading when you enquire and we'll work it out together.
All included
Every hire is set up so you can leave the airport, pick up the van, and drive straight to a campsite — no hardware store run on the way.
A proper double bed with sheets, doona, pillows and towels. LED lighting, vent fans and the small bits and pieces that make the van comfortably liveable for a couple of weeks.
Fridge, sink, stove (induction or gas depending on the van), cutlery, plates, mugs, pots, pans, a chopping board and a kettle. Just bring food and a coffee plan.
Full comprehensive insurance, RACQ roadside assist, 200km a day and a portable toilet — all in. The Archi ii also comes with a reverse camera and AirPlay stereo.

Pricing
Base rate starts at $75 per day. Pricing moves with the season — the wet season is cheapest, school holidays and Easter sit a little higher. Longer trips earn a length-of-stay discount, so the more days you book, the lower the per-day rate gets.
Every quote already includes full insurance, RACQ, 200km a day and all the gear. A $250 deposit holds your dates and comes off the trip total — the rest, plus the fully refundable bond, is settled at pickup. For an exact number for your trip, just use the calculator on each van page.
